Olivia is officially crawling! She took her first couple of crawls on Saturday and has been increasing crawls ever since. I have found that if I want her to crawl I have to lay her on her tummy and put an object of interest just out of her reach. That object was her cousin Ella on Saturday and since has become her binky, KB or her stuffed giraffe. However, she rarely crawls on demand. You just have to be watching and catch her. She's tricky like that.Unfortunately, Livy has come down with some sort of a bug. She has been a BIG snot ball since Friday and absolutely hates when I suck her nose out with that sucky thing. I must say that child has an impressive amount of snot for such a wee one, which of course means that I spend a longer time sucking the stuff out because it just keeps coming. It has dawned on her now that once I am done with the sucker, she can breathe better. The look on her face says, "Oh, I get it". Finally, by Sunday night she had decided that she was no longer going to put up a fight or cry (wait, I mean wail) anymore and just sits back on my lap and lets the sucker do its job. Though, she always thinks I am going to put it in her mouth instead of her nose and opens wide.
Now for the gross part (snot is not gross). We had just gotten home Saturday night, Livy was sitting on Chuck's leg, I was getting Livy's pj's ready and KB was lying on the living room floor. I picked Livy up and Chuck said "Her pant leg is wet for some reason". I then look down and see that Chuck as a huge wet spot on his leg. We quickly found that Olivia had a HUGE blow out. I initially tried to change her on the changing table, but realized that was not going to happen. We ended up filling her tub with water and going directly to the bath, clothes on and all. Let me just pause here and say that there is no possible way that a child of this age can have that much crap in her (well, apparently there is, but you know what I mean). Olivia's left pant leg was full of poop, oh and not just poop, but diarrhea poop, down to her ankle. She had it up her back to her shoulder blades and up her front to her collar bone. Chuck ended up with poopy pants and I had a poopy shirt. The best part, Olivia laughed the entire time.
