So, before getting out of her crib yesterday morning, KB walked in and gave Olivia a good ole lick through the bars of her crib. She absolutely loved it and beamed. This is Olivia and my's conversation that followed.
M: "You love Dodo"
O: "Yeah"
M: "You love Mama"
O: "No, just Dodo"
Because I am getting to the stage where climbing over the baby gates throughout the house is no longer fun or easy, I try to make things as easy as possible and climb over them as little infrequently as I can. Well, this afternoon I was trying to pick up the house and needed to take out some garbage. Usually, I just climb over the baby gate and take the garbage out the front door because one of the gates is blocking our side door. Today, I decided that Olivia would be fine with the gate down for the 3 seconds it would take me to go down 3 steps, walk 2 spaces and throw the garbage in the can. Before I hit the bottom step, I heard the door click shut behind me. No biggie. But before I could take the 2 steps to the garbage can, I then thougt "Crap, I hope that door isn't locked" (our door has one of those locks that you can open from the inside without really unlocking it, but you can't open it from the outside, as it is still technically locked). Fearing the worst, I tried to open the door and found that it was indeed locked, along with the front door and all the windows in the house. My 18 month old had locked me out. After looking for a key I thought was hidden outside, running across the street to use the neighbors phone to call my mom to bring the spare key, calling Chuck to double check that we didn't have a key outside, getting a spare key from our neighbor only to learn that it was the old key and then finally locating the darn key I knew was hidden outside but didn'nt see, I made it back into the house only to find Olivia "talking" on my cell phone adn pointing to the house phone that was ringing. This entire ordeal, whihc I say lasted anywhere from 5-10 minutes, did not phase Olivia in the least. If anything it stressed KB out more than anything. I guess I learned my lesson.
Olivia has also been sick the past few days. On Sunday, it looked as if pink eye was coming on and she ended up with a temp of 103. Monday was better, but she wasn't herself, had the poops and ended up with a temp of 101 by bedtime. Today, she slept a lot of the day and had a temp of around 100. She seems to be feeling a little better. At least good enough to pull her little stunt this afternoon.

What a little stinker. That is too cute. To be a fly on the wall in your house would probably make living the life of a fly worth it :)
