Oh ivia

So, I realized that I do not blog nearly as much as I used to. Because of this oversight, I have also realized that I did not share one of Olivia's funnier moments this summer (at least I don't think I did - if I did, too bad, read it again).

So whenever Chuck farts or Olivia farts (I don't fart) Chuck will say "Daddy's a tooty pants" or "Livy's a tooty pants". Well, one fine Sunday morning Olivia was sitting on my lap and we were watching Clubhouse Mickey, which Olivia calls "Hot dog" (they do the hot dog dance and sing the hot dog song at the end of each episode) and she farted. I looked at her and said "Livy tooty pants. Did you fart"? Olivia looked up at me shook her head and said "No. Daddy do it". Chuck was asleep in the bedroom.....

The other day I wore a new necklace and I picked Oliva up to tell her goodbye. She touched my necklace, smiled at me and said "pretty". Add that to the ever growing list of words (now past 60).

For those of you who do not know, there is a set of children's books entitled Olivia. They are about the adventures of a pig named Olivia. A couple of months ago we saw a stuffed Olivia pig at Baby Gap and of course I bought it. Olivia loved that pig for about 3 minutes and then she hasn't seen it since, as it was thrown into her toy box. Well, the other day she happened to find Olivia the Pig in her toy box. She picked it up, looked at it, looked at me, looked back at the pig and said "Oh ivia". I was shocked. I have been trying to get her to say Livy forever with no success. Well, I jumped at the opportunity and asked her if that was her name and she proudly said "yeah". Now whenever I ask Olivia what her name is, she says "Oh ivia". In fact, this morning at the breakfast table she was singing "Oh ivia, Oh ivia, Oh ivia" repeatedly.

We are currently working on the word grandma. She has Papa down, no problem. We finally decided to just call Grandma, "G". However, the other day we switched things up a bit and decided on "Grr Ma" (we were trying to sound out grandma).
