I was getting Olivia naked for her bath this evening and when I got to her diaper Olivia said "potty". Now, this is the 2nd time in 3 days that she has said this. Last time, I was running late for work and I think she was rushed, because there was no potty when we got done. Anyway, I happily obliged and stuck her on her kid toilet. After about a minute, Olivia got up, so I asked her if she was done. She said no and sat back down for a about another minute. She then hoped into the tub and took her bath. About 10 minutes had passed, Chuck was in Olivia's room drying her off and I was back in the bathroom getting a washcloth when I happened to look down only to find that Olivia's potty was wet inside. I ran back into her room and said "Olivia, did you potty in the toilet"? (Like she knows what toliet means). She looked dead at me and said "yeah". So I again said "you pottied in your potty"? And she again looked at me and said "yeah". Of course, I didn't believe her, so I took a piece of toilet paper and dabbed at it. Low and behold it came back yellow! I felt bad that I didn't realize it right when she did it, so I could have praised her at the time. However, because I have a genius child, she still got the drift and knew what I was talking about.
Don't remember if I mentioned this in a previous blog, but Olivia is now into calling her beloved father "Chuck". He hates it and it cracks me up. Aunt Stacy was trying to teach her to call him Chuckage this evening and Olivia even said it a few times.
