I swear that with each passing day, Olivia does something that only proves to me that she is getting older and bigger (sniffle sniffle). It is usually by the things that come out of her mouth, as she never ceases to amaze me. However, our big girl moment as of lately is that Olivia is now sleeping in her "big girl bed". We finally bit the bullet and decided that we had to get her out the crib, since Elliot will be needing it hopefully sooner than later. I hoenstly thought this was going to be a dramatic process, as every big change in Olivia's world has the requirement of being dramatic (hmm, wonder why). We started with nap on Saturday and I will be honest in saying that things started out rough. After about 45 minutes to an hour of playing around and being a little naughty, I finally got stern and used my "mommy isn't happy" voice and she fell asleep. She has slept in her bed Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights and has had no problems. I am also relieved that she is in a bed now, as about a week ago, she decided to escape from her crib at about 2 a.m. and fell on her head. Oops.
This Halloween, Olivia was much happier. She went as a giraffe this year and was the cutest darn giraffe I have ever seen.
Olivia's new thing (and we don't know why) is to run after something yelling, "I got it, I got it, I got it". Weird kid.
Ever since Olivia could say it, she has been calling my dad and father-in-law Pop Pop. However, she could not for the life of her get out grandma. A few weeks ago Chuck's parents were here and Kathy got her to say Granny, so that is what she calls Kathy. However, she has not called my mom that. We finally figured out the other day what she calls my mom. After saying numersous times "say grandma" this is what she says every time, "Geega". I told my mom that is what my kids are going to call her forever now just because it makes me laugh.
