She Really Isn't A Barn Animal

Well, I knew it was too good to be true. Olivia finally succomed to an illness. After being exposed to possibly everything under the moon, she started running a low grade temp with a horse voice about Tuesday of last week. By Saturday night a bit of a rash was forming on her tush, with a couple spots on her hands and ankles. By the time she woke up from her nap on Sunday she had a temp of almost 102 and more spots on her hands and butt. After a horribly rough Sunday night for her and about an hours worth of sleep for me, another high temperature and more spots I self-diagnosed her with hand, foot, mouth disease (I know sounds like she should be living in a barn, thus the post title) and made a doctor appointment. By 1:00 Monday afternoon her spots had increased and her poor little mouth was full of blisters. It has been rough and Livy has been a trooper. Dr. Wadle said she will start to feel better within 4 to 5 days. Luckily, she had no temp this morning and we hope things are on the downhill slope.
