Shorty and Fatty

Olivia had her 2 year check-up last week and all is well. She is in the 50%ile for weight and the 25%ile for height. Apparently, it no longer matters how big your head is when you turn two, as I was given no %ile information on this. Anyway, she drinks too much milk, which I was told to cut back on. Who knew 32 oz. of milk a day was too much? She did have to get her finger poked to draw blood, which she absolutely hated, but other than that no shots. She will return in a year for her 3 year check-up.

Elliot was sick pretty much all of last week with the poops and puking. He was on a pedialyte diet for almost 6 days. He is much better now and back to sucking down 6 oz. of milk at every feeding. Elliot now sleeps in his crib in his room (he shares with Olivia). I must say that it is WONDERFUL that he is in his room now, as he was constantly waking me up with his grunts and loud stretches. He is down to one adjustment a week and is still responding well. His colic and gassy tummy is much better. The child is quite the chunk, as we can't fasten bibs around his neck anymore because his little neck is too fat and it literally cuts into his neck and leaves a nasty mark.

Olivia tried to come down with a head cold over the weekend, but fought it off and we only had one day of low grade temp, runny nose, cough and crabbiness. Well, the crabbiness is pretty much all of the time now, but what can you expect from a 2 year old. She can now count to 10 on her own, but only does it when she feels like it. She also sings the ABC's and you can completely make out what she is saying up to letter H. Then it just becomes gibberish. Olivia is very bossy and pretty much wears the pants in the family. Go figure.
