So, Elliot is finally starting to sleep through the night. In my universe that means stints of 7 hours or longer, though some of those stints still get me up at 3:30 a.m. He has managed to do this for the past 4 nights now. Ahh, sleep is again in sight.
Unfortunately, for the last 3 of the 4 nights that Elliot has been sleeping soundly, Olivia has ruined it by waking up more times than I can count, screaming and then refusing to go back to bed. With that said, we have gotten to the bottom of her screaming "no nigh nigh, no nigh nigh" and learned that she has a pretty nasty ear infection. I guess I would probably scream "no nigh nigh" too if I were in her shoes. It is amazing what 2 doses of Amoxicillin and a little ibuprofen can do.
Olivia tells us on a daily basis "it's my birthday". Apparently, she thinks this is a year round celebration. When Chuck told her his birthday was next week she looked at him and said "it's MY birthday". She also proceeds to tell us about the pizza and cake that she had on her birthday.
The other day Olivia was going through an old diaper bag and low and behold what did she find? One of her old binkys. She brought it to me in the kitchen and said "Elliot's bebe" as it looks just like his. I played along and said "oh yeah Elliot's binky". A couple of minutes later, I look over and in walks Olivia just sucking and sucking on away. I have NEVER seen her suck on her binky that much. All of a sudden she stops dead in her tracks, stops sucking and in an accusing voice says "MY BEBE"(Translation: how dare you keep this from me and then tell me it's Elliot's). Crap. So, of course I act like I had no clue and told her that we must have forgotten to throw it away with the others. I asked her if we could throw it away and she walked straight over to the garbage, opened the lid and tossed it in. Later, when Chuck asked her what she did with her binky (threw it away) she replied matter of factly "I schucked it" and walked away.
Elliot still just eats, sleeps, poops and grunts.

Your daughter cracks me UP! And I totally know about making the b-day a year round celebration. I see nothing wrong with that :-)
