Terrible Two's Already?

Is it possible for Olivia to be going through the terrible two's an not even be one yet?

Yes, that's right blog followers, Olivia has mastered the tanrum. This started the other night when I told her that we were "all done" looking out the window. Looking out the window would not be such a bad thing if it didn't require Olivia climbing up me and then standing on my chest. After a few minutes this gets rather uncomfortable. The minute I said "all done" and drug her down from the back of the couch she went into tanrum mode. I am talking throw your head back, arch your back and cry/scream uncontrollably. Thinking that I would change my mind after her performance she proceeded to climb back up me and was stopped with me saying "no". Enter another arched back and scream. Only this time, she balled her hands up and threw them down to her side. After about 2 minutes of this, I sat her on the floor where the tantrum continued with balled up fists in front of her chest. I looked at her and asked her if she wanted to come to me and she promptly shook her head no and crawled away. She stopped screaming momentarily to smile at me and giggle, but immediately started the tantrum over. I again asked her if she wanted to come to me and she shook her head no and crawled further away, turned to me and smiled and then began screaming again. I finally grew tired of this and we went to eat dinner. When I mentioned this to our favorite day car provider Kim, she looked at me like I was crazy and said that she had "never" tantrumed at her house before. Lucky Kim got a good ole tantrum yesterday when she told Olivia no. This morning we managed to get 2 tantrums before leaving the house and that was only in an hour time frame. Ahh, how nice.

On a happy note, yesterday when I sat Olivia on my lap to put her socks and sock protectors on(like a pocket protector only better and for her feet) I thought that she had lifted her foot up for me to put them on, but she had never done that before so I didn't think much of it. However, this morning I sat her on my lap, grabbed her socks and said "let's put your sockies on" and she lifted her right foot up for me. What a smart cookie. She only lifts her right foot though. She makes me work for the left one.

Oh no! Guess that means watch out for her "teenagerness" when she is like 8!

Love your little sock helper! Think she will teach Korben that trick??
