For those of you who see Olivia on a regular basis, you know that she is VERY independent. This makes me very sad, yet happy. Unfortunately, Olivia will no longer cuddle except for about twice a day. When I pick her up out of her crib in the morning she automatically lays her head on my shoulder for a morning snuggle. That lasts about 5 seconds, max. I never know when the need to cuddle will strike again during the day, but it happens at least one more time and I again get the head on the shoulder. Of course for 5 seconds, max. No longer is Olivia willing to "snuggle cuddle" with me and I fear that we are already entering the years of it not being cool to show affection to your mother in or out of public. Sigh. Happily, she was unusually affectionate last night and this morning and moved in for multiple kisses. Unfortunately, I have a big honkin cold sore and can't kiss her back. Grr.
Olivia is officially, officially walking everywhere. I have noticed that she now walks far more than she crawls. Falling doesn't phase her, except when she fell head first into KB's toy basket last night. Oops.
I have caught Olivia on multiple occassions hugging her bear Bobby and her pink blankie that Aunt Katie made her that she sleeps with every night. When she is getting tired she will grab her blanket, put it on the floor and lay her head on it. It is very heart warming and cute. At least she cuddles something.
Last night was our first night without a bedtime bottle. I did give her a sippy cup of warm milk, which she downed in about 2 seconds flat (not really, but you get the gist). So, I think I can say that the days of the bottle are officially over. Sigh again.

I feel your no-cuddling pain! Korben has NEVER been a snuggle cuddler! Like you, I take the 5 seconds I can get!
