More Random Thoughts

Every time Olivia sees football on the TV or hears it on the radio she points and says "football". If it's a good day she will say "Vikings". Olivia also correlates any piece of Viking clothing that has the Viking head on it as "football".

Olivia now sings the ABC song. We can totally make out the tune and up until the letter E, but then the letter sounds turn into made up sounds, but at least it is still with the correct tune. She has also begun to count. On a daily basis we get "one, two.....FIVE". We are working on this. She did count eight, nine, ten the other day though. Don't ask what happened to the other numbers because I have no clue.

Now when Olivis decides she wants to pick up her toys (which isn't that often) she signs the pick up song. A few days ago out of the blue I hear "pick up, pick up, everybody, pick up, pick up".

When Olivia has finished eating she now tells me "done" and shoves the plate to me. If she actually ate everything on her plate she says "gone" instead.

I no longer dictate when Olivia goes to be and I no longer carry her to bed. I have found that she sleeps much better if I let her tell me when she is ready. Bedtime has moved to more around 8 instead of 7, but when she is tired she comes up and says "night night", hands me Bob, Petunia, and blanky and she walks to her bedroom. This is sad to me in a way because it just confirms that she is getting older and that she truly is an independent kid.

Unfortunately, Olivia has becoem more attached to binky and tries to get the stinkin thing whenever she can. She is only supposed to get it at naps and bedtime, but she has finagled her way into getting it more often than not lately. I hate the binky!
